Old Umbrella

He masterfully portrays Under an old umbrella Stopping no rain from falling Shows how moist life is Lifting the stem higher up Trying to keep rain away Nothing seems to stop it all Rain lands on his head To his chagrin it rains hard Beading down to his wet brow He desires to throw it out Useless contraption Now the rain pours on his face He debates life’s irony How his luck has fallen down As the rain descends

So, that's DODOITSU! Pretty difficult to write; thank you for the example, Russel! I love the rhythm, although new to me! And the poem title was so appealing; the poem itself, such a pain and a pleasure, at the same time...Great, great write! Blessings, Hanitra
