Obsessive Inclination

You are an addiction A drug to my heart Poison to my soul The forbidden edge Craving your touch Unable to erase your image Hearing your voice in my sleep Aroused to a pitch, soaked in sweat You have another; I have mine Wanting too much; taking too little Dancing around the chemistry Refusing the forbidden fruit Leave my soul intact My heart untainted I cannot survive the high The crash will cost too much

Passion is like an addiction to "forbidden fruit." The last line is so true, but where would we be if we didn't let love enter our lives. This is a feeling to which all can relate, Lena. Nice work! I'll have to read more of your poetry. (The "nightmare" story is true, including the knee pain.) Love, Carolyn

A powerful write Lena, to be in the throws of obsession is a treachery path to take. Well written.
