Nobody Would Ever Know
Walking into that crouded room.
They stopped what they were doing.
Thinking they knew what was crossing her mind
Drawing conclusions
Sharing opinions
Meeting their eyes
She didn't seem to care,
Even though she knew she was on everyones mind
Even though they didnt seem to stop their stares
She knew that once she left,
The stories would fade
She knew that once she left,
Nobody would ever know
Nobody would ever know what happened
And where it went.
And even if they did
Nobody would ever know why
Nobody would ever care.
But they still wouldn't stop their painful stares.
