Night's Palette

A turquoise sky marbled with wisps of Xanadu clouds, Framing smudges of magenta layered over wrinkles of denim, Smeared above remnants of a setting orb Outlining silhouettes of barren limbs stretching into space. Let’s walk along the shadows wrapped in weary contentment Hands intertwined in night’s rhapsody Silently sharing the crescendo of a days demise As it graciously releases its last breathe into twilight.

The imagery here is breath-taking. Especially in the first stanza. It has a beat to it which makes you read it really quickly. Like being excited or scared. But then the seond stanza slows right down, like a kind of "ok, let's talk" image. I love that! It makes it so choppy and adds such depth. An inspiring write and this style definitely suits you. Love the image of partners with "Hands intertwined in night's rhapsody" as they share "the crescendo of a day's demise." Great writing, Lena! Love, Carolyn
