Never Throw In the Towel
Feeling kinda sentimental today
Reflecting on years gone by
The ups and downs, the good and bad
The lows and so many highs
That's what makes life so interesting
Imagine if it was always clear sailing
Nothing to discuss with the ones we love
To help us when all else is failing
These ups and downs are all part of life
To remind us we're all human beings
To keep us on the straight and narrow
And keep us honest and feeling
No one's immune to life's uncertainties
Everyone must play by the rules
Try as we might to find a shortcut
We wind up looking like fools
The bottom line is keep plugging away
Do the best that you know how
It's not a matter of winning or losing
Just never throw in the towel
