Nature's Surprise

Eagle gliding by Glint of silver flashing up Sudden dive - lunch caught Author's note: I was sitting on the edge of a river gorge writing in my journal when an eagle flew past. I had my camera with zoom lens with me but didn't get it out in time. I left it out and on just in case s/he circled back. And s/he did - gently gliding by! Just as I was about to take the picture, the eagle dove all of a sudden - straight down and caught a fish. I was able to get pictures of it flying out of the water with the fish in its talons. And then I wrote this poem. Wish I could share the pictures too - your mental ones will have to do.
