My Man My Love

Everyday the kindest gentleman comes to my door And asks me to join him. "No," I would always respond, "now is no the time, sir" And he would leave sadly, only to return on the 'morrow. Today is different, for today, a happiness devours me. And he came knocking, and without a word I put on my coat and we ventured together. Unfamiliar warmth follows me, as we walk, facing straight ahead, towards our promises, song echoing deep in my heart. He's so kind as I write this, and he asks if I would like to love him as he loves me. I think I shall answer yes and truly become the sunflower.
