My Love Bendeth Near
My love says I shall not beguile you with my tongue, but rather with my soul. “Go, do not be a prisoner to my heart or fettered by my rose, for I give it freely, having picked it clean from its thorns so it may not prick thy finger. For it be naught thy blood I wish to draw, lest I use it as a balm to soothe thy soul
Accept my flower...for it is given freely to send thoughts of a lover’s song to tug at thy ear. If doors before have sent you wandering... become a dweller at my tree for I am the root, therefore, I become the leaves that shade you from blisters of the sun that rendereth rays too harsh for thy tender skin
Eat not the bread of those with an eye to devour thy soul, but nourish thy self with the drink of my wine given to quench thy throat when you are dry of thirst. For it is a true heart that bendeth close to draw you near to me. Allow my light to shine in thy soul, breathing solace to thy weary heart.
