My Garden

Once, my garden flourished with grace, Wild roses and bells, a charming place, Birds, big and small, made it their home, Feasting on nature's gifts, free to roam. Scented flowers, a fragrant delight, Bees buzzed and danced, a lovely sight, Nurtured by nature's gentle hand, Abundance bloomed across the land. But one fateful day, crocodiles arrived, Voracious and cruel, they contrived, Leaving nothing but desolate space, Draining the essence, leaving no trace. The crocodiles remain, full but unsatisfied, Years have passed, their greed not denied, None can take pride in their presence, For they brought destruction and malevolence. Yet hope lingers within my heart, To rebuild, renew, and restart, One day, my garden will reclaim its place, With love and care, a verdant embrace.

Hi Joselito, I am not sure what crocs are, but I assume they are some kind of infistation. You painted a beautiful picture of the garden before they struck. I hope one day your garden will be beautiful again. Great writing! Lainie
