My Day My Pain
I'll leap off the horizon
Into the coming day,
Hoping to find you in a new light
Dancing in beams of radiance
Her smile warms the sun..
Preparing it for another days journey
And as the tips of my feet leave the edge of this earth
I'd see the beauty behind the horizon
I'll find you behind the horizon.
But the sun has set
And through the appearance of the stars,
Shows me that my opportunity
Has passed
And through the relapse of my pain
I collapse into crescent of the moon
Where I lay, counting the seconds
The days
The ways
That a love so good
Could hurt so much when shes not there
When shes not here
When these arm close tight
squeezing nothing but air
Then i feel loneliness
And in the hole you left
escapes the breath that wakes me for another day
Now for my coming days
I retreat to the shade
Hidden from the light
Because I see her smile in the sunrise
