Mother's Song
Come wind come thunder!
Kill this stillness with your glory.
My memories once sweet please plunder.
Write me a brand new story,
so in peace my soul can wonder.
Bring forth you stormy embrace!
Look for my heart in stone.
Wipe the reminiscence of the face
that left me here alone.
If time has no power,
why then am I bound?
Where then the blooming flower
of the youth I hardly found?
The fountain of my tears now dries;
people pointing “look she dies”
baring no concern for their own tomorrow.
If time runs out where then will they borrow?
My children cant you see you’re truly worth?
But who am I, I’m only Mother Earth
