Mirrors Seldom Lie
Life comes down to
moments frozen in motion
perfections caught in pictures
like trophies hanging on the walls
of the rooms of our lives
often just framed illusions
memories temporarily autographed
on the windswept sand
on the beaches we run to
trying to capture
what cannot be held
desperately seeking
that which refuses to be
what it cannot be
truths are always the truth
and the reflection in the mirror
lies only to the beholder
