Memories

We treasure the memories, even the broken heart The feeling of sadness, when we were apart The smell of your skin, that taste of your kiss Everything about you, that I will miss. The walks along the beach, the heat of the sun Upon our bodies, entwined as one The goosebumps on my skin, from the softest touch Never dreaming that it would hurt this much. But in losing one, I have gained another A stronger love , unlike no other He has picked up the pieces of my broken heart And holds it in his hands, when we are apart. There is new love, if we let it in New memories to make, new life to begin So I close the door to the life that has past A future awaits me now, to a love that will last.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
