Melancholy Memory
~*~
has it been twelve years,
since you went far away,
it feels like yesterday,
mother dear . . .
I miss you so much,
your laughter and your smile,
mom, you were my best friend,
in this world . . .
how can I forget,
your last day on this earth,
when you whispered to me,
I love you . . . .
and I realize
the incredible gift,
I was given that day,
whispered words . . .
how many can say,
they heard those words of love
whispered in the last breathe,
before death . . .
