Melancholy Memory

~*~ has it been twelve years, since you went far away, it feels like yesterday, mother dear . . . I miss you so much, your laughter and your smile, mom, you were my best friend, in this world . . . how can I forget, your last day on this earth, when you whispered to me, I love you . . . . and I realize the incredible gift, I was given that day, whispered words . . . how many can say, they heard those words of love whispered in the last breathe, before death . . . ___________________ May 9, 2013 Poetry/Verse/Melancholy/melancholy memory Copyright Protected, ID 05-476-698-09 All Rights Reserved, 2013, Constance La France

Expressively penned. It's truly a flow from the bottom of your heart. I know your mom must be proud of you during her sojourn here. Well done. AO

Constance, I do believe that only you could do this form this well. It's your invention, right? I hope to try it. I just could not come up with anything for your last contest, but I really love the "feel" of your title Melancholy Memory and the feel of this poetry form. thanks for the example!

A new form...... a wonderful challenge you have given us again, Constance! This beautiful and touching poem is a perfect example........and Melancholy is the right description of both the poem and form. I'll give it a try. In the meantime......I am very grateful for the honor in your Memories at the Door Contest placement......thank you so much! :) So nice to see you posting more each day!
