Me

you cannot see me for who I am You only see what I have become you do not see a proud soldier or a family man you see a broken man limping, strugling beaten by life. You cannot see me you can see my disability I am more than a limp I am more than a crutch. Look at me without my limp look at me and see me I am still human and dont need sympathy I just want to be seen.

Yes we all want to be seen and loved warts and all. I am a massage therapist. I believe that to me one of my most important jobs letting people feel loved as humans warts & all. Maybe a near by healer/massage therapist can help? light & Love

Good presentation of an idea. We should always look for the real person underneath whatever we see at first impression. Keep writing. Sara

i can SEE you without your disability quite clearly and i know that is not enough but know that the ones that are the ones that that are lucky enough to have you will be able to see over those things. this is one thing i can tell you that i know for sure. you poem is very clearly expressive and passionate. janetta.
