I offer new lamp of happiness Give me the old rusty ones Of grief, anguish and sadness I give new ones to one that shuns I am the magician wandering In the hustling streets of Baghdad To seek magic lamp to be a King And go on holidays to Trinidad What I am seeking they know not Infidelity of happiness, you ask me What I’m offering they haven’t got Treasure of anguish I’ll get for free Pain and agony –everlasting treasures Their fidelity is tested and tried They cleanse soul in no mean measures What you call trash, I’ave always eyed

The idea of a vagabond tramp hahaha! And a giver of hope to boot.. Timeless theme my friend! And a very good flow and rhyme. Brgds. George

Wonderful write here, Mohammad. Yes in this materialistic country of ours we set a lot of folks up for envy and wishful thinking. And its too bad because we have so much to learn and appreciate from other cultures!! You might want to change the spelling in the title to Aladdin (there is no "u" in that name).

Beautiful! I too was brought into your world for a moment, and being the wanna be traveller that I am, this was excellent. I also prefer the old to the new, always have, give me the tarnished lamp anyday over the shny new one. Old holds much truth and resonance, Love Kristin
