This saddened me as your words made me think of an old lady left alone for too long. I realise the last line has humour in it but I couldn't help thinking along those lines. Thank you Karen

Lonely... I'm so lonely... I got nobody.. to call my own...lol.. that is what came to mind when i read your title... than i clicked on your poem.. and had a sudden urge to grab a bag... and remove a dead chicken..lol.. I'm laughing now.. hope it was not your pet.. or over fed... always..pd
