Like Butterflies They Flew Away
I watch as kids walk down my street
Friendships bonded,looks so sweet
And I thought when I was young
Wish I knew what was to come
We were best friends, buddies true
Now I wonder, just where are you
I'd like to stop and talk to them
Tell them to hold on tight to this gem
The greatest times always applied
When my buddies were at my side
Each day for us was so carefree
We took our friendships so casually
Now the years have come and gone
And all my buddies have moved on
Like butterflies they flew away
To a brand new life, a brand new day
Sometimes I wish that I could stay
Smell again sweet youths bouquet
