Life As I Know It
life teases you with every step
you see the light just to get more dark
the path you walk is rocky and broken
so easy to fall and not get back up
time it seems is a game
passing away to fast when you need more of it
taking an eternity to tick by when you are waiting
and we are left with no choice
we have to play the game
knowing that we will never win
left with nothing but the feeling of hopelessness and loss
so how do you make yourself see the light through the dark
how do you stop from falling over
dont be on your own
the dark is not as frightening when youre not alone
and when you fall they will help you back up
but then the question is
who in this world can you trust
especially when you cant trust yourself
how do you stop from being hurt again
really there is no way to know
and in life you have to go through the bad
otherwise you won't know what good is
through life and the world is a hard place
but if it wasn't hard how would you know what's easy
Why is there hate, anger, jealousy, deception
without the dark we would have no light
without the hot we would not have cold
without the rough we wouldn't know smooth
and we keep going every day
cause that's what we were built to do
