Life

Life It was God who created the beginning of life Since man arrived there has been nothing but strife When the air was fresh and the rivers where clear The birds and the animals had nothing to fear Now even in those early times Man was the one who was committing the crimes They started wars, they fought and died Though living in harmony they never tried Man even tried to replace the horse With the internal combustion engine of course Which eventually led to the motor car A shiny vehicle that would take man far They split the atom, a shock wave was felt If man played with uranium the planet might melt Oh will mankind go to far Or make a new life near and far. My very first poem - Written in 2000

Hi Linda, I thought it was time to reveal my very first poem, it was a rhyming poem as most of my new ones have been narrative, I found that rhyming poems restrict my imagination so I broke from this tradition and created the more straight forward poems, I do have a vivid imagination and I like to write as I feel the inspiration, it seems far more interesting that way.
