Lessons From a Ghost

Shadows shimmer and then disappear What was once mist is now clear Light bends and a figure tricks the eye A spirit of smoke stares as it floats by The feeling of cold grips my lonely hand The sound of footsteps stirs and I just stand The specter speaks as it hovers above I do not fear for it still knows love I stare at its beauty and listen to its song Its message is simple in faith and love be strong Then it faded to me so in this poem I boast Live your life and learn the lessons from a ghost
