Leroy Is Guilty
LeRoy is Guilty
By Elton Camp
That LeRoy is guilty there can be no doubt
That was well established when he went out
He dared to look around as he walked along
Although in the neighborhood he did belong
Maybe if he’d shuffled and looked at his feet
Then a sad fate he wouldn’t have had to meet
Also, he was dressed in an intimidating way
Although it was overcast and rainy that day
But LeRoy had his parents’ permission
Therefore, he set out on his little mission
To walk over to the neighborhood store
A thing he’d done many times before
Having left his home, he didn’t come back
LeRoy was guilty of walking while black
