Knitting a Silken Crochet

Her hunched mound circles around while near dawning approaches... and my mind wonders of her need to spin more rows in puffs of hours, sewing and binding a delicate blanket made from loops. Somehow, I know what makes her hurry... as time wheezes, silken mother props her bed upon new day's request when egg sacs, her young, peep out toward a gently crocheted, wet earth. Beautifully written. Congratulations. I cannot smile about a spider, but I can be fascinated by one and I truly enjoyed the read ... CayCay

Nette: This is lovely. I wasn't a member of PS when you first posted this, so I'm so happy I didn't miss it this time around...I've always been in awe of a spider's web..fragile in appearance but strong enough to hold prey. There's beauty in every fiber as morning dew and sunshine turn one into a sparkling gem. Your write made me smile, too.

... knitting a silken crotchet. You have a killer of a title! Spiders are a little on the creepy side, but with your poem they seemed rather majestic. I loved your close up of the action on something so incredibly tiny... great work!

I love the path you detoured us on just by introducing the spider! I had imagined an old lady crocheting on her rocking chair going back and forth in rhythm to each loop and stitch! You wove a delicate weave of mastery with this glorious poem! What a awe inspiring piece, Great Work!!
