Just An Image

You've placed me on a pedestal from which I can but fall you've conjured up an image that isn't me at all I hate to burst your bubble with this fiction you've created but the picture burns a little bright it's a little over stated I know you think you know me but I'm no longer sure am I only in your head and is there any cure? But I'm worried what will happen when reality starts to bite will I lose your friendship when the truth flicks on the light? Will you still be fond of me when my halo starts to slide when all at once you realize your image of Me's lied?

Some people really do put others on a pedestal, just like you describe here. It must be horrid to worry about measuring up to that!!
