What a way to welcome January, Dalila! :) I love how you say "spit out" and "light the fire" -- I hope January does that and it's most definitely a gateway! Dalila, you asked me if it was personification. I agree with Gwen down here. Of course it is! Don't fret. I will be disappointed if this fine work does not make the winners' list!

January can be considered a gateway to the unknown since it is the first of the twelve months of the year. I just hope those other eleven months bring you blessings in every way. Good write.
