It's Sure Been a Blast
Each one of our precious children
Is different and very unique
We brought them up in the very same way
But they all have different techniques
They each look at life very differently
Some cynical, some full of fun
The fun loving ones are much like me
Enjoying each day in the sun
Before you know it, the end approaches
I'm ready, it's sure been a blast
We never know when our number is up
So enjoy yourself right to the last
Quite philosophical wouldn't you say
Taken seven decades of living
To understand the real important things
Ignoring life's many misgivings
So there you have it, my take on life
Don't pretended to know-it-all
Just passing along some stuff I've learned
Bottom line is just have a ball
