Into the Stream of Your Words

I wade into the stream of your words
Gently…letting the flow wash over me
Feeling its coolness make me tingle
My soul is coming to life
Experiencing every ripple
Wash against my body
Feeling the undercurrent tug at me
Inviting me in deeper

I follow
And then
With complete abandon
I submerge into your world
The words flow over me
Under me
Play through my hair
Touch every part of me...
Carrying me
Caressing me
Sweetly
I glide through
Heart eyes open
Seeing a new world of beauty
I’d never known
Overwhelmed
My lungs about to explode
My naked soul drenched
I break the surface
And suck in the air
Of reality
That will clear my head
From this fantasy
This dream
Of the essence of you

Slowly….reluctantly….
I start to wade out of the stream
My hands gliding over
Breaking the surface
Of the water of you

I am out now…
Looking at the sparkling stream
Reliving the dream
The word droplets
Clinging....clinging
To my arms
My legs
My breasts
My shoulders
I throw my wet hair back
And look at the rainbow prisms
On my body
Reminders of the beauty of your world

I’m about to leave
When I hear the rippling of the stream
Calling me
Whispering my name
Inviting me in
For one more swim
One more taste of freedom
Weightless wonder
Ecstasy of belonging
Promising to carry me
To submerge me in momentary eternity

This time….
I don’t hesitate
I run and dive in
Splashing into you
Body and soul
My heart too
All of me
I dive into the stream
Immersing myself
In the cool freshness
The utter beauty
Of your words…..

Eileen Manassian Ghali

PS……I wrote this while listening to an amazing piece of music entitled, “Beethoven’s Five Secrets” by One Republic on Youtube. My friend, Annie, shared the link on my Facebook today…Remember Annie? I wrote a poem about her (you can find it on my page) because she brings me so much joy by posting flowers to my FB wall…..purple pieces of heaven that lighten my spirit. Today…I’d posted that I’m out of inspiration….and here she posts this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mJ_fkw5j-t0 to make my fly….Beethoven, my favorite composer…how does she know? This group has done a variation of his work. I’m so filled with wonder…..I had to share! There is a message at the beginning of the video: “Don’t only practice your art. But force your way into its secrets. For it and knowledge. Raise men to the divine.” That inspired me to dive into words…hence, this poem.

It is very clear your heart & soul are limitless. Both are screaming to fly high or swim the deepest of depths. Powerful!

I dream of flying, Drake. Such an amazing feeling it is being up there.....When I'm in the water, I'm in my element....I'm able to impress and glide and dive and just....be me! I get the analogies here. You know me well! Hugs!
