Indifference
We pass each other, staring straight ahead
Without any feeling, emotions are dead.
Eyes never meet.
Lips hard pressed, they cannot greet.
In silence we walk.
There is no reason to talk.
Happiness is in no room,
Only apathy and gloom
Attempts at conversation
End in screaming confrontation.
We never hear the words the others say
Indifference bars the away.
The life we live is not ideal
If fact, it is surreal.
We have no money to leave, no place to go
We live together, without life’s glow.
