In the Woods
From the concrete jungle I make my escape
Just trying to get away from the rat race
And find a peaceful place
Where I can gather my thoughts
And commune with nature as I aught
After a while I see the outline of trees
And then I feel A touch of breeze
Its gentle caress feels so good
I feel peaceful as I walk into the woods
I hear birds chirping overhead
And I see butterflies floating with wings spread
Insects going to and fro
As through the trees the sunlight glows
I close my eyes and let the sounds
soak into my being, I have found
the peace I seek amid these trees
Silently I walk, my thoughts at ease
Feeling like a butterfly floating on the breeze
My heart flutters and my soul is pleased
