In the Stillness

Since last passed my lips The smell and taste of him Beckons within seconds My craving beginning Almost the moment He kisses me goodbye A t shirt he pulls over His body now Denied me My heart beats so quickly I want him again I want him so much I cry He kisses me The after kiss It means no more For now This latest love induced haze I beg will see me through the day His love And my need of him Slowly edges into my veins My heart is lost My skin soaking up every last wet kiss drop I know this won't ever go away

The state of passion-induced euphoria can linger for a long time. Love the way you conveyed your longing here, Jo. Hope you are doing well with your book. Love, Carolyn
