In Praise of My Friend Death

Dear Friend (Death) How oft`n have we shared a crust of bread And wet our throats in tears When both we met to wine a boat Into waters deep. And yet I fear you not For sure as a rising sun Or a setting moon Or swirling galaxy Thou will come for me To rest my pain and sorrow And gift me with a life renewed. You are my vag-na, My key My eggshell You are water to a seed You will turn my page And close my book but Hand me a library. Read one last line and Let me float into an unseen dimension until I meet my lover face to face who justifies everything. Thank You, Friend.

Ryan, this is a great piece. It shows a man who is ready to face death with equanimity. Congrats! Here is Shakespeare's take on death - "Of all the wonders that I have heard, It seems to me most strange that men should fear; Seeing death, a necessary end, Will come when it will come. - Shakespeare.
