In Heaven at Last

In Heaven at Last

When I wanted to be safe and calm
God had held me in His huge palm;
Always knew I was safe and sound
Because I could feel Him all around.

If I had something for Him to hear
I could always tell God's ear was near;
Even though I was mild and meek
He heard my voice when it did speak.

Did pray to God when I was kneeling;
When I did around Him I was feeling;
I often had tasted Him with my tongue,
In every sweet song we just had sung.

Out in the woods when we would walk
God's voice was there and heard it talk
And whether asleep or even while awake
He was in each breath which I would take.

God now has complete control over me
And from sin has set my whole soul free;
After all of my long life has finally past
Will be there in heaven with God at last.
