I'M Merely
Life is for those who live, I simply exist
Left at life's mercy with all it's turns and twist
I'm merely a body weightless paper thin
To be blown and tossed about by life's merciless wind
I'm but a leaf many among a tree
Left to dangle here to see what seasons bring
I'm but a wave slammed hard against life's rocks
Even though I feel the pain, waves don't really talk
I'm but a flower, life's a careless kid
That extends it's arm out and my flower gets picked
Life is what you make it
I feed myself these lies
For I'm merely a passenger experiencing the ride
