I'M a Tiger When Alone
Why is it that we’re so bold
When we’re alone?
So brash , so rash
Oh me, oh my!
Why do we turn
As mute as a stone
When a good looking
Person walks by?
Why do we pale
And blanch white as a bone?
Why do we blush
And stammer and sigh?
Where does our breath go?
What makes that lump In our throat?
When beauty comes
to our eye?
Why can’t we be
A lion, not a goat?
The witty person with head
Held high?
Why can’t we speak
In more than a squeak
And why does our mouth
Go dry?
I’d tell you the truth
But alas, and forsooth
I’m simply, and sadly…
Too shy
