If I could tell you

If I could tell you in a dream
Of all the things she means to me
It would be full of colour, sights and sound
From earth and sea, sky and ground.

December born but never cold
Ageless, never young or old
Always was, always will be
Someone very close to me.

A guiding hand that’s always there
A bond so strong, a bond so rare
A person who never gives up the fight
My mum, my friend, my guiding light.
