If?

If I call you 'my dear', do I presume too soon that you are mine? If to me you draw near and you cause me to swoon... Breakfast at nine? If it seems very clear we are meant to be one, all should be fine? If there's reason to fear it will not be much fun, should we decline? If it's just for the sheer joy, pure - surpassed by none, our love will shine. Note on form: Five Dimeter Tercet Stanzas, 6-6-4 Syllables and A-B-C Rhyming Patterns

Very original rhyme pattern here. I usually don't write poems that rhyme - with the recent "Incantaion" an exception. Keep writing the excellent verse. Peace & love Matthew Anish

"If there's reason to fear - it will not be much fun." Yes! And this is most often the case. Interesting and sensible formulae you have here. Lots of food tor thought. Love, Dave

If it were not to be, would it not still be fun? Must we spend every second with "the one?" Two ships passing in the night, Can light each other with their light.

excellent Linda! I love what you've done with this. Simple yet surprising and complete with extraordinary form pattern (well at least for me on the form part!) Iknow you got it girl...just let it out. Asll far as "humility" goes.......I would be PROUD and Honored !!! hAHAHA Thought i'd throw a little ambiguity in virtue there....Seriously that would be lovely and remember me to the Almighty as I will you. : )
