I Remember When

I remember when… Courting fellows all wore suits. Their girls wore pretty dresses. To tell one from the other didn’t take too many guesses. I remember when…. A lady always wore a hat and waited to be seated. But now the poor man doesn’t know how she wants to be treated. I remember when… Mothers didn’t work outside the home and were always there to greet you with loving hugs and like as not some fresh baked sweets to treat you. 6/6/13

Times have changed haven't they..Reads like a winner to me ...Good luck in the contest..By my time, so many women worked and now they just about have to work for the family to have any kind of standard of living..I am glad that I chose this one today..Sara

This should do very well in the contest. I remember my mother talked of the way things were and lamented the changes in social interaction. Very good poem.
