I Never Didn'T Want You
Went through
My book of poems and you
Were interwoven
In between the pages....
It's always so hard
To tell
When you've got a girl
But this time
I'm
Hoping to God it's easy
Cuz for right now it's me.
I never didn't want you
I never didn't want you
I never didn't want you.
You say
You think we fit right
And I try
To sound surprised
Cuz I've known for a long, long time
We only needed a chance.
Just one
And look what it's become...
I wanna talk to you all day long.
Wanna stand next to you
And feel little cuz you're tall...
Almost got jealous of others
Who get to see their others
Every other weekend.
But I stopped myself.
I'd rather be yours
Hardly see you again
Than have anything that belongs to them.
Trying to keep my cool
But I'm a little girl when I'm around you
Cuz you make me
Wanna make you mine.
I like you.
Not cuz you're handsome
Or funny
Or brilliant
But you make me happy that I'm me
And somehow you think I'm funny
When I forgot to try...
I never didn't want you
