I Miss You So Much
Lonely tears soak my pillow’s
Face leave only traces of a
Powerful sadness compounded
By the infinite time and space
Between the last time I wrapped
My arms around you and our lips
Embraced my dreams are a heart’s
Whispering prayer my soul’s cold
Hard stare into black oblivion
Warm shower droplets seek to
Deceive the skin on my back
Attempts to mimic your touch
But they lack that perfection
My mirrored reflection smiles
More than my lips actually do
For my fantasies bring me
Closer to you imagined yet
Still true in a moment
Cuddled in my own
Warmth does nothing
To soothe me into slumber
Only the memories heat
Rising from your essence
Scent leaving me thirsty
Losing all desire to breathe
Unless I inhale your splendor
Lonely tears soak my pillow’s
Face no slumber yet dreams
Invade the paradise of my heart’s
Restful state invent this place
Where the other hand warming
Is still not mine…
I miss you so much
