I Love You
I LOVE YOU
Tired, it slips out of my mouth
Like releasing a deep breath
Before falling into meditative rest
In my mind, heart, and soul
My mantra, like a regenerative ointment
On the hurt we both feel
When I spew dragon's fire all over you,
While trying to protect your dignity
So strong, you are open to accepting
These worn out words from a bum outside your doorstep
Rattling the gate, like a Tibetan chime
Waiting to return the favor
The envelope inside the package bursts open
Awakened, with the second chance you give,
A message that wraps me up in fine cashmere
Only to comfort my inner child that needs to be close to your precious heart
Laughter, I love it when it comes in your shade,
When we fall in unison, or we catch up to each other
The moment of synchronicity feels finally full
With room for more
