I Failed To Convey

I've written poems to speak my mind. I've written poems of many kind. But when they're read and misconstrued. It's like passing out and getting tattoo'd. It's someone else's thoughts, not mine. I'm not upset, truly, it's fine. That's part of the enjoyment of reading rhyme. It's subject to interpretation every time.

Oooh, hope I'm not guilty of that crime; we've been reading each other for some time and I feel somewhat privileged to know what goes on in that head of yours. You always have something to say that touches me in such a special way. Love, Elizabeth

Robert, I like mixing all my writes, sometimes, they are about everyone around me. but, the deeper ones are all about my personalities. And one of my minds, speaks louder than the others. love your verse here..pd

Sometimes when I read other poets I'm not sure which way to take them. I think that it is because we really don't know the writer personally. If you walk with someone long enough you begin to think their thoughts. You do this so much that you begin to speak their thoughts before they have a chance to speak it themselves. Great poem.

Yes, it is dismaying when that happens. Let me ask you. Are you saying that when you do sad love poems, you are not describing your own situation? You do so many of them, that's why I am interested to know, Robert.

I too am often dismayed when my thoughts seem to not be clearly conveyed. Often wonder if it's because it's actually not read or if it's a flaw in my word choice. Then someone sees something that I had not intended....or did I subconsiouly??? Good poem and valid points...all poetry is subject to interpretation by the reader....
