How the Night Changes
You shimmer much the same
As the waning moon behind me.
You glow, but not for long
And not for me.
You will last,
Until the night dictates another shape,
For her you'll bend,
Then I must break.
Your light is full, then half, then none,
A world apart from the constant Sun.
