How Do You Take Criticism

Is it like resisting an ice cream when you have sensitive teeth? Or eating chocolate bars when you got diabetes? How do you take criticism? Is it like accepting a gift from a friend? Or taking a white rose from a sorry fiend? How do you take criticism? Do you retaliate by looking for his flaws? Or just smile and stoop? How do you take criticism? (Inspired by a first negative reaction received in PS on my poem “You Don’t Know My Poetry”. Someone named Sylvia called my poem “half-baked”

Hmm, that Sylvia person has been mean to a lot of people here, so don't take her too seriously... I like the questions you pose here, Glenn, and as for me, how the criticism is delivered can make all the difference... if I know that it was meant to be constructive, then I consider it but if it's only meant to be destructive, like what some people do, just smile and move on :) thanks for passing by my poems :D

LOl.... that Sylvia... person has no life... I have read her comments to other poets... I think she is an unhappy poet,, and like to make others feel bad...I think you are an excellent poet... One time she attacked my daughter... and I wrote a slam for her..I think she was under the name of Easter ( don't know if i spelled that right) ... Your a good guy... lets keep the happy-ness alive..take care.always..PD
