Here To Stay ("i Rise" Style)
Here to Stay (i rise style)
You may hate me with bliss
Each and every day,
You can wound my soul,
But my smile you can’t take away
My thoughts are foreign
Black flowers to your bouquet,
Through mockery and hatefulness
Thoughts strut confident to a new day
Why must you want to see me beaten and broken down?
Does your blood simmer when I smile amongst your many frowns?
If hatred is your oil, and spite be your fuel
Then may God clean the insides, of such a neglected jewel
My flawed teeth will shine in suns
A smile you can never take away,
You can tell me rights and wrongs
But my ideas are here to stay
