In anguish that she tried to hide, To her abuser, Ruth then came Her Love betrayed. A thousand people for her cried And kept a vigil when she died. Her lover killed; a bloody game Was ended in her trial of shame. Ruth Ellis hanged for homicide. Her Love betrayed. Ruth Ellis, 28, was the last woman to be executed in England. She was hanged after killing her abusive lover in 1955.

The read has a sad and somewhat morose feel, but yet is beautiofully crafted as the form, flow and overall read is smooth and clearly detailed. The rhyme is perfect. Michael
