Half Moon Heart

there used to be a calm in his walk a peace in his mind he was never an arrogant man but you could see the ego in his eyes confident in himself to accomplish any task he had won her heart this way she had taken his when she left now he was sleeping in the sandbox trying to dream a memory seven worries from a heart attack stepping on the frayed stones of his soul could he expedite his eyes to the blind let someone else see her through them giving the floodgates to someone else who would cry for him if only he could turn tears to golden coins they would never buy love again he would become the drifter who survived phony love a secret buried in his ebony shadow hidden in his half moon-heart

Wonderful. It's putting beautiful thoughts such as this one out there that makes any experience so unbearable worth making it through. You really know how to drop someones heart in a second.
