A very nice haiku. I adore the image of dragonflies coming out when the sun is bright and warm, making the gravel path less dreary. Haiku in the traditional sense...

haiku ninja strikes again...It's a good one, Heather...it's impressive that you wrote, 'the well' as a teenager. I might have posted one or two from that time of my life on here...and I don't even like those.
