Aint it the truth. You have to think of Archie Bunker's chair. When I was a kid, we had an old green chair on the porch. I still remember my dad sitting on that old green chair, pointing out the constellations to me. Love, Dave

This is a great entry poem for the contest. I really enjoy seeing these cool writes based on pictures. Thanks for your comments today. as for bananas, I just don't enjoy eating them. I do,however, like banana flavored foods and if they are served on icecream or in other dishes!

What a beautiful take on the photo, Carolyn-- I find it so interesting how one photo can tell a thousand different stories-- I like how yours also gave an insight of hope and blessings represented by that chair-- and haha! Thank you for your confidence in my truffle write ;) ok, send me some fish please-- whoops- I think I missed that blog of yours-- lemme go visit it--hugs

this one touched my heart, goes in my favorite, what i have been doing is taking the favorites from soup and making coypies of them, then i put them in a folder, and called it Poems by poetry soup members, just for my enjoyment, i hope that is ok without everyone, so i will do that with this beautiful poem of yours. thank you for commenting on zoo closed.

Lovely tender choka, my friend. I was half expecting the Monmouth Uni ghostly jockey to sit on the chair.

LOL Only you would remember that "ghostly experience," Jack. Darn, maybe I should have gone in that direction.

beautiful choka Carolyn, best of luck in the contest, that scene reminded us both of a barn and a grandparent no longer there, we have so much more in common than just our birthdate don't we
