God
Why does the sun shine?
Why do the trees blow in the breeze?
Why do crickets chirp?
Why do little babies burp?
And why when I am sick--do I sneeze?
"My Child--because I AM God
And you--My Little One--are Mine..."
God why
Do people cry?
And why am I in pain
When I fall and skin my knee?
And why does it rain?
"Because My Wee One
I AM The Son
And I died and bled for thee
So you could be with Me
In Heaven for Eternity...!"
God why
Is the sky blue?
And why is the grass green?
And why are some people mean to me?
"My Child--the sky is blue
And the grass is green
Because I made it that way
And to you--some people are mean
Because they don't believe in Me
And they will have to answer to Me one day
That's why

Did You name that bird a Mourning Lark?
And why is there day and then comes the dark?
"Because Trinity--I AM God--that's why
And I made it that way
"Now upon your pillow lay your head
And let Me tuck you into your bed
Now My Child go to sleep
And out of you--I don't want to hear a peep
In your heart--Me always keep
Sleep tight--now for you--let Me turn out the light
Good Night--I love you!!!"
