Gentle Dove

Little dove, gentle dove
show me your heart
the key to your love
ne're more shall part
for my heart is raptured
your kindness abounds
my love is captured
your sweetness surrounds
Little dove, gentle dove
you've stolen my heart
you taught me to love
a new life does start
You've caressed me in ways
few have known
I bless the days
with you I've flown

Hey Trudy its nice to know we have the same middle name. Gentle dove is such a relaxing comfortable poem to read, this is something I would want to read to my husband one day. It is so pleasant and soft, I can imagine beautiful bwhite doves flying through the air right now so gracefully. This is truly a awesome write!

You've got to dedicate this to your husband, Trudy. It reminds me of my Granddaughter(the one I wrote a poem about posted on soup)when she came into my life. She was just like a Dove of love, showing me how to really love with the Godly love from above. Sincerely Moses
